How does mold remediation work?

It starts with a company that is certified to remove mold. Mold certifications are necessary for a restoration company to do any mold removal for most insurance agencies. Without the certification the agencies cannot be sure that the mold removal had really been done right.

Mold Service Needs

In order to remove mold and keep both the occupants and technicians safe certain precautions should be taken into consideration.

1. Personal protective equipment should be worn at all times while removing moldy building materials.
2. Air filtration masks is part of PPE. It filters out the mold spores and the mycotoxins they carry.
3. All moldy materials should be bagged twice to make sure spores do not contaminate other areas of the building.
